About

Megan

Hi writing friends!

I’m Anna Fox, and this little space on the internet is the birthplace of my YA fantasy, The Hashna Stone.  This is the space that  introduced me to the beautiful people who encouraged me to purse writing.

This is where I share my writing/publishing journey, writing tips, and random (but totally entertaining) thoughts. But most importantly, it’s where I discover others like me who dream big. We’re all at different stages: self-publishing a fantasy novel,  finding an agent, writing the first chapter, jotting down the first story idea, or completing NaNoWriMo for the first time.

But there’s one thing we all have in common; we all need a friend who understands why we have this itch to write…to create worlds…to discover characters. Finding someone who understands and supports our love for stories is crucial for us to achieve our dreams.

This is the place that gave me the courage to write my story. I’d love for it to be yours too.

    1. Not participate in blogging awards?! What planet do they live on? 🙂
I adore blogging awards, so yes I will accept it. It may take me a while to do the post though since I’m in Blogging 101 and Writing 101, but I will get to it as soon as I can.
      Thank you!

  1. I am going to “borrow” your line about time spent on Pinterest although no one will believe me (I love words AND pictures). Great infographic.

    1. Thanks! I actually got the idea to use an infografic on my about page from a reader. That’s the great thing about the blogging community…we get to share awesome ideas!

    1. Awesome! Thank you! I’ve never been nominated for this one before. I’m excited to see what it’s all about. It may take me a little while to do the post, but I’ll be sure to do it as soon as I can. Thanks again!

  3. Hi! 🙂

I’m alive. :-p So sorry I’ve gotten behind on The Hashna Stone! Too many life things going on right now! My inbox has like two pages of unread blog posts to read ACK!!! lol, I hope you’re well. Just wanted to stop by and say hello and that I was thinking about you!

    1. Hi! No problem. Life takes precedence over stories (sadly lol). I hope all the things going on are good things! Whoa, sounds like a lot! 🙂 It’s aggravating to get behind on reading. Then again, I guess it can be fun too. Now you have an excuse to go on a reading binge! 😀
I’m doing good…having fun working on the Hashna Stone. But boy is it a lot of work. I’ve never written a story of that size before, so there’s a bit of a learning curve. I guess you could say I’m going on my own adventure just by writing it. 🙂
Thanks for stopping by! I always love hearing from you!

      1. A reading binge will definitely be in order when life calms down in a couple months. Good things, yes, but challenging things. I’m having to learn new skills at work—fun skills—but I’m having to use a lot of my personal time to learn them which sucks. Oh well! It’s almost over. I know what you mean about going on an adventure writing a story. I finally finished my legacy story! I know it’s not nearly as much work as the Hashna Stone, but it did take 17 months to do LOL. Whew! I feel proud and accomplished. I never knew I could write so consistently! I learned a lot about my writing and improved by leaps and bounds, so I’d say it was a year and a half well spent!

      2. Awesome! Yeah, new skills can be exciting, but also overwhelming. That’s not fun to have to do it on your own time. 😦 We spend enough time at work without having to bring it home. I’m sure it will be worth it though. 🙂
Whoa, 17 months of work on one thing…I don’t know if I could stick to the same thing for that long. That’s an accomplishment in itself.
        I know…the more I write, the more I learn.

    1. That’s great! I’m so glad you thought of my blog for an award. 🙂 I’m currently in the middle of a 13 week flash fiction challenge, so it will be a while until I get to the post. But I will definitely do it!
