Happy Second Birthday Invisible World!

It’s been two years since I started Invisible World. I can’t believe it’s been that long already! It seems like I just started, and I’ll let you in on a secret; even after two years, I still have no clue what I’m doing. I’m pretty much just making it up as a go along. But, hey, it’s worked so far so why stop now? 😉

Hopefully, you’ve all had just as much fun as I have and will stick around for year three. You’ve all been such great friends, I feel so lucky to have my own little family of Invisible World-ers.

Speaking of Invisible World-ers (yes I know that’s not a thing), I feel like we should be given a name. Peter Hollins refers to his  followers as “Hollin’s family” and Rhett and Link call their viewers “Mythical Beasts.” Why should YouTube channels get all the fun?

We should get a special name too!

Who’s with me?

Anyone?

Alright, that’s fine. I don’t need you to have a cool name. I’ll come up with my own special name. For myself.

Meganeers!

Oh, wait. Meganeers is plural and there’s only one of me. Meganeer!

Nah, it just doesn’t sound the same.

For real thought, we need a name (whether you’re onboard with it or not 😛 ). I could just keep calling you my readers, but where’s the fun in that? Besides, you guys are too awesome to just be called “readers.”

But before we figure out a name, there are some fun little lists I’d like to share with you in honor of my blog’s second year.

And Invisible World has managed to get 9,430 hits!

This blog has come a long way from those first few weeks when getting a five likes was big stuff. I can’t wait to see what the next two years brings!

Alright, so now back the issue of naming ourselves.

We could be the Invisibles. It has a sort of superhero sound to it.

Hey, we could all walk around in tight, red suits!

Maybe something to do with the blog’s initials? IW? Or maybe something that has nothing to do with the blog title. Imagineers is already taken, so what about imaginetts? Imaginees?

Ok, so those aren’t the best names. What’s something we all have in common? Something that brings us together?

  1. love for imagination
  2. thirst for epic stories

Based on these things similarities, we should be called *cue deep movie announcer voice* Epic Dreamers. 😀

It sounds like a cross between this…

And this…

Ok, I’m out of ideas. Now it’s your turn. What do you think our name should be? One of the lovely, most awesome names listed above, or something you came up with? Come on, I know have some EPIC creativity in you. It’s time to let it show! 😉

Comment with a name suggestion or what you think our name should encapsulate (like that big word I just used?). Can’t wait to see what you come up with!

  1. Can we please be The Invisibles? (Disney movies hurray!) 😛
Happy 2nd blogoversary/blogiversary! 😀 I’m having an awesome time being part of your readership (feel free to strike that out and replace it once the name is official). I know I should comment some more and I’m working on that. I just read, hit like, tell myself I’ll come back later and *poof* forget about it.
Pantsing one’s way through the journey is exactly what I’m doing right now and you’ve definitely shown it works, so I think I’ll stay clueless and see what happens with mine. Have another successful year of blogging and hope for more to follow! 🙂

    1. I will definitely add your vote (or should yours count as more than one vote? 😀 ). No worries. Sometimes life doesn’t leave time for commenting. 😉 Liking is a great way to let me know you enjoyed it. As long as had fun reading, that’s all that matters. 🙂
When it comes to blogging, I guess it’s best to go with the flow. 🙂
      Thanks so much!

      1. I will keep that in mind every time that controlling part of my brain wants every detail ironed out (then the lazy part lulls it to sleep, so that’s not happening in the foreseeable future). Oh, it shall be only one vote. Democracy and all that. 😛

      2. Haha…ok, thanks for being fair! 😀 Yeah, sometimes I want to plan everything out, but with a blog, you can only plan so far because you never know what will happen–what readers will respond to or like. There is some planning. Like, I couldn’t have written The Hashna Stone without some outline beforehand. But you never know how your blog may morph and evolve, so it’s best to not get too detailed. I guess it’s kind of like life actually. 😀

  2. I Wish. (IW–get it? Not really a recommendation.) Invisibleers? Sounds like we’re tired all the time. And Invisiblers might be hard to say (or read for those of us whose lips move when we read, which sometimes is me). Epic Dreamers is cool. Worlders isn’t bad. The Fifth Dimension (being invisible, that is) is already taken. I like Meganeers. Would look good on a T-shirt or a bumper sticker.

Happy Birthday, blog and blog-maker! If you do figure it all out (well, first, tell me), remember to keep things loose. Better humor is impromptu or improvisational, after all.

Thanks, Megan! Enjoy Year Three! I plan to!–Christopher

    1. Yeah, I’m kind of liking Epic Dreamers too. Meganeers is easy to say and easy to remember. I guess it kind of has a nice ring to it, but it does sound a bit weird to me to other people something with my name in it. 😀 I guess I could get used to it though.
Thank you for the birthday wishes! I’m sure we will all enjoy year three! 🙂

  3. Happy Blog-day!
Hope it’s not too late. Great work, Megan! Flags-in-hands for more adventurous third year! :)))
Lovely writing style, very easy-to-read {which is my number one in all writing manuscripts}, yet it’s not simple, provokes to a deeper thinking about life…
    Lots of love and kisses!
