So Many Books, so Little Time

Today’s writing assignment asked us to start our post with a quote.  So here it is.  (Yep, just like that. No long-winded intro this time).

So many books, so little time.
Frank Zappa

That’s so true!  The list of books I want to read is as tall as a skyscraper.  Or at least that’s how tall I imagine it to be, since I don’t have the actual  books to stack.  My list is completely digital.  Thanks to Goodreads I can keep adding books to my list and not have to worry about tripping on them.

Also thanks to Goodreads…I have way too many books on my to-read list!  Sure, I had this problem before, but now that I have all these suggested books popping up out of nowhere, my list is unmanageably long.  I’m going to need to live until I’m 200 to read them all.

That said, I’m trying to decide which book off of the list to read next.  That’s were you come in (I knew having you around would be good for something).

I’m going to list a few books, and you get to tell me what you think about them.  If you’ve read them, tell me what you thought about it.  If you haven’t read it, comment anyway (I’m not going to exclude you from the fun).  Tell me which one, based on the description or cover, looks most interesting.

Ok?  Ok! Here are the books.

The Seven succeeding Elven Lords of Allyra were dead, lost in the Siege of Berinfell as babes. At least that’s what everyone thought until tremors from a distant world known as Earth, revealed strange signs that Elven blood lived among its peoples. With a glimmer of hope in their hearts, sentinels are sent to see if the signs are true. But theirs is not a lone errand.

  1. I agree with Cathy – not so keen on the title font but love the illustration. It’s more sci-fi than fantasy too, which is always a winner in my book. <– pun? Your choice.

    1. I know…It sounds so intriguing. I can’t wait to see what happens to her. Being born with the gift of killing…being forced to work as the king’s thug…this is going to be a great story!

    1. I like off the grid stuff. I’m always looking for books to read (even though I have more than enough already).
What’s that one about? I’ve never heard of it.

  2. I’ve had Graceling on my to read list for a while now, but Cinder sounds really good. Eep if only we could read all the books literally at the same time D:
I’ll vote for Graceling first, and Cinder as my runner up.

  3. I’m not much of a sci fi girl nor am I into the typical girly look but Cinder looks like a contender simply because that design on the leg is some bad Ass work. The red shoe gives it a pop! I share your same dilemma too many books so little time I’m more of a self help, romance and autobiography kinda Girl any suggestions in your good reader for me? Lol

P.S. I Love You by Cecelia Ahern is a really cute love story. It starts out after the main character’s husband dies (I know…so sad), and goes through her journey to find love again. It’s called P.S. I Love You because her husband leaves her letters to read after he is gone, and they help her move on. It’s one of those stories that will give you the feels but also make you laugh.
And yes, the cover is pretty amazing!
